Create unique and valuable content, regularly
Google loves when sites produce original content regularly. It shows that a site is up to date and is still providing its viewers/customers useful information. Try creating relevant content for your website through blogging or presenting new products/services, and even posting through your social media channels. Eventually, Google will reward your site by appearing in more search results and a better ranking.
Make sure to use meta tags
I can’t express more on how important it is to implement meta tags onto your site. These meta tags are words you write into the structure of your site through HTML code. They tell Google which keywords you want your website to be associated with. For instance: if you had a toy store, you would want one of your meta tags to be about a brand that you sell, that way when someone tries to search for that brand, your website will come up in the search results. Ideally, you would want to do a bit of keyword research before setting up your meta tags. Try picking keywords with a lot of traffic and is easy to rank for. That way, you’ll maximise your site’s visibility on the internet.

Have a nice, clean website design and layout
Google looks at your site as a customer would. Try and make it presentable as possible by including clear titles and descriptions, navigation menus, and internal links. Also, make sure that any images you include onto the site, have an Alt text on them, so Google can identify what the image is about.
Make your website mobile-friendly
Most people who search for anything on the internet these days use their mobile phones. Google knows this, and to keep their customers happy, they will take into consideration how mobile-friendly your website is when picking whose webpages will likely get listed in the search results. You’ll need to make sure that the layout and formatting are straight forward, easy to navigate and has a fast loading speed. The best way to know if your site is ready for mobile use is trying to use the site yourself, to see if you’re able to purchase without any struggle.
Make sure to configure your sitemap
Once you think your site is good and ready for the world to see, the next step would be submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console so that Google knows that your site exists. While your website will inevitably be found at some point by the Google bots, regardless if you submit your sitemap or not, it’s still a good way to speed up this process by giving them a nudge.
