Endurance and force - Part 2


Exercises aimed to develop strength (anaerobic - "without air"), build muscle and shape the body. Instead of rhythmic contraction and relaxation of muscles are intensively working on the resistance efforts. The increasing stress reduces blood flow rather than increases it. Fatigue occurs rapidly, so these exercises you will not be able to carry out a long time. When blood circulation decreases, then the reflex rapidly increases blood pressure. That is why doctors warn suffering from hypertension or cardiovascular disease from lifting weights or even moderate performance of isometric exercises. 


The strength increases the possibility of performing a variety of actions, some of them can get more pleasure from life. Athletes of the last generation that dealt mainly aerobic (athletic), sports, studiously avoided strength training, following the theory that the development of muscles reduces its functionality. Now known that in fact the opposite is true: wisely chosen exercises with weights play an important role in athletics training, especially in the development of lean muscle mass.
