The homeland of plum is considered small Asia, Caucasus and north iran. In Soviet Union it can be found in the south. The fruits of plum contain 0.1 mg Carotine, 1.5 mg vitamin E, 15 mg vitamin C, 0.06 mg vitamin B6, 0.3mg viramin PP, 0.3 mg vitamin B1, 0.06 mg vitamin B2 and 0.04 mg florecine. Other elements contain sugar (17%) organic acids (3%),
pectin and pigments. The fruits of plum are rich in potassium (214 mg), iron (500 mg), manganese (110 mg).
We use it in constipation as a laxative, hypertension, atherosclerosis, kidney diseases, rheumatism, increase the appetite. We eat fresh, dried plums. It is a component in stewed fruits, jam, marmalade and other products.
