In many countries one of the main factors of death is cardiovascular deseases. They are also sometimes considered with other deseases like deabetes or hypertonia, and accompanied, usualy, by destruction of vascular walls, which are deposited fat complication called atheroma. These fat deposits, consisting of LDL-cholesterol (or "bad" cholesterol, which comes in the blood of low-density lipoproteins) lead to a narrowing of blood vessels, which are destroyed, become less elastic and reach the state called "atherosclerosis."
Blood, which tends to thicken, forming clots that can clog arteries. Depending on the location of such a blockage there certain types of pathologies: myocardial infarction in the coronary arteries (which feed the heart), ischemic brain damage in the arteries feeding the brain, etc.
