To assist nails in growing healthily you can use liposomes and nutrients that promote the formation of new cells in the growth area of the nail plate.Some creams may contain sulfur amino acids and keratin, proteins and vitamin C to help strengthen the nails and improve their resistance to harmful elements in the environment.

 


To strengthen fragile, brittle nails you will find that a warm bath of vegetable oil with added vitamin A, 3 drops of iodine and 5 drops of lemon juice will be very useful. This should be done once or twice a week. The oil should be regularly rubbed into the nail plate and the skin surrounding the nail bed. Lemon juice, vinegar, and cranberry juice are very effective components to contribute to this process. If possible, within 1-2 days carry out a treatment which involves a warm bath of sea or table salt. Another excellent effect will be achieved if beeswax ,which is heated in a water bath, is prepared and the fingers are immersed in it. For lasting effect effect up to 1-2 months it is also useful to take a complex of vitamins and minerals for hair and nails, such as Rivoli, Nutrikap, Merz, zinc, selenium, silicon and sulfur in the form of food supplements.

 

To strengthen the nails themselves you can use a Paraffin bath and reinforcing varnishes. Lacquers containing calcium will help strengthen brittle nail. If the nail is broken, it is sufficient to cover the crack with a product for sealing the nail, and then apply nail varnish or a special gel in the case of artificial nails.

These recipes include a heated vegetable oil bath with the addition of liquid vitamin A and lemon juice. It is desirable to do and most effective to do this twice a week.

 

After a day use a lemon bath. To do this you should cut a lemon in half and lay your fingertips on this half for 10 minutes . You should follow a course of this lemon treatment for two weeks to achieve the best effect .

 

Twice a week, carry out a warmed olive oil bath with the addition of 3-5 drops of iodine. Dip your fingers in the oil for 15 minutes, then wipe them and avoid contact with water for several hours.


Alternatively use baths of vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar mixed in equal proportions.

  

Another excellent method for treating brittle nails is to use a nourishing wax based cream.. Boil an egg until hard-boiled. Extract the egg yolk and add to it 4 g of beeswax,which has been melted in a steam bath, and pour peach oil onto the other two ingredients until the mixture thickens to the consistency of an ointment. Use this ointment every night.

 

Equal parts of vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar. The course should be followed for 2-3 weeks, daily, for 10 minutes. Then apply a universal nail cream .

 

Pour a glass of vegetable oil and mix this with a few drops of lemon juice. Every evening before bed use this on your hands. It will be more effective if you do not wash your hands afterwords. Instead wear cotton gloves overnight in bed and leave them on throughout the night.  

 

Tips to strengthen the thin brittle nails at home

 

When you boil potatoes don't pour away the water they boiled in. After finishing all other work, hold your hands in it for 5-10 minutes. Then apply hand cream.

 

Unfortunately a common problem for many people is nails which become stratified . In order to strengthen them it is very useful to use salt baths. You should only use regular sea salt, without any kind of aromatic additives.These additives can have a detrimental effect on the nails. Dissolve a teaspoon of sea salt in warm water and hold your hands in it for 20 minutes. The procedure should be repeated for 10 consecutive days . A month later, it can be repeated. If your nails are not stratifying at the moment , a once a week treatment like this should help in preventing the nails developing this condition.

 

A method which is absolutely not recommended is to bathe with soda. Sometimes this method is used to clean the dirt from under the fingernails. If you do this the nails will become soft and prone to damage and breaking.

 

Thin, easily broken nails will become stronger if you will rub them with lemon juice or vegetable oil. Try to at least temporarily not to use with washing powder unless you are wearing household gloves.

 

Sometimes the nails suffer from cracking due to lack of certain vitamins in the body. In such cases, you need to eat more fresh vegetables and cottage cheese. And from the plant can make tea, strengthens nails: nettles - 1 part , Capsélla - 1 part, quack grass rhizome - 2 parts, compound fruit alder - 1 part, black elder flowers - 3 parts. 1 teaspoon of that stuff pour a glass of boiled water, in a thermos for 6-8 hours, drain, take on half a cup 3-4 times a day for 10 days.

 

If the nails stratify treat them with a special lotion. At night use any nutritious cream following the procedure of wearing cotton gloves overnight.

 

A great and effective natural remedy in the care of hands is the common and humble lemon. The lemon is greatly underused as a source of body treatment. It brings many benefits. Lemon juice improves the structure of the nails, softens the skin beautifully around them and in addition has a bleaching effect. Cut the lemon in half and soak your nails in the flesh, then a few minutes of massage putting your fingers inside the halves of the lemon. Softened cuticles can easily then be cut away.

 

Keratin as a special additives can act to strengthen the nails . Lotions and creams with such additives is recommended to apply after each hand washing or at least two times a day. Warm baths with different emollient additives will help in removing tension from the hands.

 

Particular attention should be paid to the cuticle. For a long time it was removed mechanically, but now there are more gentle ways to avoid wounds and, consequently, infection. Trimming the cuticle is not recommended. It is better to use a special tray gel, cream or oil to soften the cuticles and then gently push the cuticles with a stick from an orange tree to the edges of the nail. Another tool for treatment of the skin at the base of the nail is a special cuticle fluid which slows down the growth of epithelial cells.

 

For brittle and weak nails, there are special creams that reinforce nails.

 

Uneven, broken and flaky nails look ugly . Usually this is often caused not by a serious general illness, but instead by the most common household chores, usually those which involve the use of alkaline chemical cleaners. Therefore, for the protection of the nails you should always use household gloves to protect the skin of the hands.

 

Even if you apply a colorless nail varnish or liquid-based fixative, they will have at least some protective covering which will prevent the nails from damage.
